Cowboy for a Day Horseback Riding Package

Come by yourself, bring a friend, or your child for a horseback riding getaway. Arrive in time for a casual dinner for 2 at Saucy Dog's Barbeque. Get a good night sleep, get up early for a big breakfast before heading out to the Buffalo Ranch to become a cowboy for a day by spending the whole day horseback riding in Michigan. Your cowboy for a day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will include instruction for safety, care, saddling, jumping, riding, and horsemanship along with a hearty lunch that includes buffalo burgers and beans plus a lot of fun. You will also be able to go for a wagon ride to hand feed the buffalo, plus unlimited use of the mechanical bull ride and the zip line.  Return for another great meal at Olivia's Chop House then retire to your comfortable room. Wake up to another big breakfast before heading home.

Becoming a cowboy for a day is meant for any level rider age 8 and older and is ideal for adults who love horses or parent/child bonding. Fee includes use of stable horses. This is a full participation event that you will talk about for a long time!

Retire to your room and enjoy a full breakfast in your pajamas before returning home.

Meal will be chosen from a list of pizza, chicken, pasta, seafood, steak, or another negotiable dish.

If you are a professional performing artist, and are traveling near Southern Michigan, and can give a live performance, we are willing to barter a live 1 to 2 hour show in our parlor in exchange for lodging. Our parlor will accommodate an intimate acoustic gathering of about 35 guests. We have a baby grand piano. We are located within 30 minutes of I-94 and I-69 in South Central Michigan. The Indiana Toll Road and the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/90) are also within 30 minutes. Previous guests include the Schreyer Banjos with Tom Marshall on the Ragtime Piano performing a Dixieland Jam Session.

Concert date, show time, and duration is negotiable. Sundays are ideal, but any day could work if given sufficient notice. Troupes of 1-4 artists can be accommodated comfortably. Minimum 30 days notice to effectively advertise the event.
