Fall colors have begun as early as September 10 and lasted as late as November 19
Leaves fall quickly after a series of frosts or heavy rains. Getaway when the colors are the most beautiful and the weather is the most tolerable.
The expected color season for Hillsdale County is the entire month of October. Of course, this is an "expected" time-frame, the actual timing is up to Mother Nature! Leaves will fall quickly after the first frost. Plan weekends early, or getaway Sunday-Thursday on short notice.
