Olivia’s Chop House is an acclaimed privately owned steak house that also excels in seafood. Saucy Dog is a rib joint that also features pulled pork, pulled chicken, and beef brisket. Rosalie’s Roadhouse has sandwiches and pizza along with the best lasagna (that my mom didn’t make). Spangler’s serves comfort food 7 days a week–meatloaf, pot roast, burgers, and all-day breakfast. The Baw Beese Trail runs alongside all three parks. It is paved for easy walking and biking. Waterworks is mostly for kids. Owen has a Disc Golf Course. Sandy Beach has a basketball court. All have picnic areas and strategically placed benches for scenic views of the lake. Additionally, the Amish may be harvesting their crops the old fashioned way with teams of horses while modern farmers will be tilling the soil with modern machinery. Either way, it is interesting to see them working in the fields. Anything you choose to do is a great way to spend time outdoors in this beautiful part of the state.
