Cats Collection Painted Pottery

Lori’s Cat Collection of painted pottery is getting larger. The Toasted Mud Pottery Painting Studio in Hillsdale MI has inspired her to become an artist. The goal is to paint 40 pieces for our son’s new family. The first child will be born in September, so she has almost 6 months to create 31 more designs. Picasso Cats were the original inspiration. Now she’s finished an abstract cat in greens along with a curled up cat in yellows. There’s an Aztec Cat that is ready to be fired. When the collection is complete, the only thing they will have in common is cats. It will be the most eclectic collection that we hope our son will love. Lori stops by the studio 4-5 times a week and paints for a few minutes or a few hours. She always has more than one piece in progress and is at pace to finish 5 or more per month. Painting is good therapy. It is relaxing. It is a chance to take time to be creative and have fun doing it. Creating a family heirloom is a bonus.
