Labor Day Getaway Special Pricing

Labor Day unofficially marks the end of Summer in Michigan. By law, kids do not go back to public school until after the holiday. That makes Labor Day weekend the last chance for a romantic weekend getaway for Michigan teachers, parents, and couples with or without kids. Few places offer discounts on holiday weekends. However, the Munro House B&B in Jonesville has special pricing on Labor Day Weekend. A 2 night weekend getaway is up to 25% off for the Labor Day Holiday.

Many families will be taking their kids on one last holiday getaway to places like Mackinac, Frankenmuth, Saugatuck, or Traverse City. Couples who want to avoid the crowds and the kids can enjoy quieter adult time with great food, low key activities, small crowds, and a comfortable place to stay. For these people, a Labor Day getaway can be found in nearby Jonesville Michigan.

Antique shopping is a typical activity that people like to do in this area. This part of highway 12 is known as “Antique Alley” with Allen “the Antique Capital of Michigan” located just 5 minutes away. Several antique malls–each as big as a grocery store–are open most every day from 10-5. Folks meander from store to store and reminisce about the old days and seek out items to add to their collection that connects them to the past.

New release movies are shown on 7 screens at the nearby theater. Hiking and biking is available on the Baw Beese Trail. Horseback riding can be reserved at the Buffalo Ranch. Challenging golf courses are reasonably priced and located just minutes away.

There is plenty to do in the area. But for folks who just want to hang around the house, we have several
stringed instruments that guests are welcome to play. We have a baby grand piano, acoustic guitar, a mandolin, and a ukulele that are available to the musically inclined. There are over 100 channels of cable TV available on each room’s HDTV, plus several channels of HBO and Encore. Home baked cookies are readily available and soft drinks are always free.

There are many choices for a relaxing weekend in our home or a low key adventure weekend in our county. Leave the crowds behind, save time and money, have some fun, and enjoy a romantic holiday weekend getaway to Southern Michigan.
