Peak Fall Colors in Southern Michigan

The Fall Colors in Southern Michigan are still at their peak in and around Jonesville in Hillsdale County. Halloween is behind us and the Fall Foliage is still a delight to the season. Many leaves have fallen, but great colors still remain. The number of days are limited, as a storm or snowfall could quickly take away the remaining beauty. Plan one last Fall Getaway now for the few remaining days of Autumn.

Jonesville is located at highways 12 and 99 in the middle of Southern Michigan, just 20 miles North of the Indiana-Ohio border. Hillsdale, Coldwater, and Jackson are the nearest cities within a half hour drive. Toledo, Lansing, and Battle Creek are about an hour away. Detroit, Kalamazoo, and Fort Wayne are all about an hour and a half drive. Chicago, Indianapolis, and Cleveland are a three hour excursion.

The Munro House B&B is just a block off of downtown Jonesville and features 7 master bedrooms for couples spending the night in town. Each room has a queen size bed, private bath, cable HDTV, and free wi-fi. Free snacks and beverages are always available. A big breakfast is served every day with coffee, fruit, and juice. So, what’s there to do in Jonesville? We have some really nice surprises. There are 10 restaurants within a mile. My favorites are just 2 blocks away. Saucy Dog makes barbeque that would make Texans happy. Olivia’s Chop House is fine dining that you’d expect in any big city, but with small town prices. World class masseuses are on staff for total relaxation in house. The Antique Capital of Michigan is just 5 miles down the road in Allen. The Amish will be harvesting their fields the old fashioned way. While mega farms will do it the modern way. Any day is a good day to get away.
