Murder Mystery Dinner

A fun getaway for couples has been added to our calendar for Saturday March 25 in Jonesville, Michigan. A five course dinner is planned for another one of our Murder Mystery Dinner Parties. We play fun games that require no rehearsals and contain very little pressure–if you can read, you can deliver your lines and have a good time. Everyone is provided with a new look from our costume closet–it is usually just a hat, maybe some beads, and possibly a simple prop. Players get a background story about their character, along with a description of their relationship to the murder victim. Everyone is also provided with lines that they need to get into the conversation over dinner. Everybody has a motive, but only one is guilty of murder. There is a showdown over dessert where everyone gets a chance to point their finger at any suspect. Sometimes the finger is pointed at themselves. One-by-one we tell you who didn’t do it, and why, until there is only one character left. We reveal the clues that were spoken that proves who is guilty, and why. The event starts at 6:30 and is usually finished around 9:30.

A one or two night getaway is available. If you come in on Friday, the package includes dinner for 2 at the best restaurant in Hillsdale County. Olivia’s Chop House is a fine dining restaurant the is located just 2 blocks away from Munro House. Choose Prime Rib, Almond Encrusted Salmon, a New York Strip with a Kentucky Bourbon Sauce, Baby Back Ribs or another tasty item. A big breakfast is served every day at the Munro House. Belgian Waffles, French Toast, Omelets, and Oatmeal could be your morning treat. Coffee, fruit, juice, and bacon are always available, too. The breakfasts and the dinners are included as part of the package. All of the preparation is done for you.

Jonesville is located in South Central Michigan near Jackson at highways 12 & 99. Munro House is just a block off of downtown. It’s less than a 90 minute drive from Detroit Metro Airport, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Toledo, or Fort Wayne. A short drive to a great old house in great small city has the makings for a fun weekend for couples who like food, history, and mystery.

  1. I recently moved to Hillsdale. Do you have to stay at the B&B to participate in the game? If so, can you give me a price?
