Our resident Scottish Terriers are a unique part of the Munro House Bed and Breakfast in Jonesville, Michigan. They have a friendly disposition and are known to be unusually quiet in the house where there is no barking allowed. These unbelievably well-behaved dogs are careful to never step foot into the parlor or any of our guest rooms. Sometimes, they are invited into the cookie room or breakfast room to mingle with guests after meals have been served. We have trained them to ring a bell when they need to go outside. They are content to spend most of their days in the Library or outside the house where they obediently stay away from the sidewalks and driveway due (in part) to our
"Invisible
Fence".
Reggie, the oldest boy, was born in June of 1996. He is our alpha male and is totally black in color.
Gilley, the youngest boy, was born in June of 1997. He looks older because he appears to have grey streaks. His striped brindle undercoat gives the illusion of premature grey (especially when he is freshly groomed).
Your hosts, Mike and Lori Venturini, are formerly of Appleton, Wisconsin. Had it not
been for a vacation to Italy, our lives would very different right now. It was while
searching online for B&B accommodations in Rome that we found a link to "Inns for
Sale". By chance, we followed the link. On a bigger whim, we looked outside of our
home state. The rest fell into place rather quickly. We have been innkeepers
and owners of the
Munro House in Jonesville, Michigan, since July of 1999.
Mike is a former account manager for
Keebler Cookie Company and is currently the
caretaker, bookkeeper, and morning chef. Lori continues to be a
computer programmer, cosmetologist, masseuse, horse
trainer, party planner and innkeeper.
Chris is a college student at Spring Arbor
University. He is also a substitute
teacher in Hillsdale County School District. He is an accomplished Judo
player and gamer. His tournament wins include "Warhammer" and "Magic the Gathering". Lately, he's been playing GURPS,
Dungeons & Dragons, and staying fit with
his Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) video game.
Our goal is to make your bed and breakfast
experience at the Munro House in Jonesville a
memorable one. We strive to accommodate,
entertain, inform, and comfort all of our guests.
Whether this is your first B&B experience or if you
frequently choose B&Bs for your lodging needs, we
hope to rank near the top of your list for comfort,
hospitality, and value.
