2 weeks ago, we became grandparents for the very first time to this little guy, Layne Michael Venturini. My wife Lori was in South Korea for the birth and to help out new parents Chris & Zette. I joined this new family shortly after to have the five of us in the same place at the same time. Chris teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) on Jeju Island. He met Zette online and married her in the Philippines in December. It looks like the baby was conceived on the wedding night.
The good news is that the new family is happy and healthy. The bad news is they are half a world away. Time will tell if they will be able to get work in America. It will be even better if that work is in Michigan. For now, Chris is supporting his wife and child teaching ESL for a 3rd year. The proud grandparets are communicating regularly via Skype and watching Layne grow.
