Hillsdale County Auctions in Michigan

Sid Michael Auction Service was set up at the end of my street in Jonesville MI to sell off equipment from a machine shop that has been closed for decades. Inside the building were a host of mechanical products that seemed to be in remarkably good shape for their age. The facility was once used to create parts for Deal Automobiles headquartered in Jonesville from 1905-1911. Vintage machines were still in demand for scores of local folks who attended the auction.

Auctions are very often a popular social gathering place for people in Hillsdale County. Business owners, farmers, and a contingent of Amish were in attendance on this day. All were mingling and discussing the industrial items on display and placing bids in hopes of winning a valuable treasure.
