Even in mid January, a winter getaway in Michigan can be an especially awesome trip. We are expecting unseasonably warm temperatures in the 50’s this week. Travel will be easy with little chance of snow. Now is a great time to get out and enjoy this great state.
Jonesville is located in South Central Michigan, about 20 miles due North of the Indiana/Ohio border. Munro House has a great location between Detroit, Kalamazoo, Fort Wayne, and Toledo. Each of these cities are within 90 minutes of Jonesville.
Getaway packages are available every day. Bed and breakfast is a standard package with additional add-ons that can include dinners, flowers, movie tickets, and spa services. Our favorite restaurants are just 2 blocks away–an easy walk. Saucy Dog is the best barbeque in the area. Olivia’s Chop House is an outstanding fine dining restaurant. Daytime activities include a trip to Allen–the Antique Capital of Michigan with several antique malls, each the size of a grocery store. A world class massage at the Munro House can also be arranged.
After dinner, 1st run movies are featured on 7 screens at Premiere Theater, just 6 minutes away. Guests rooms can include a fireplace or a 2 person Jacuzzi tub for a little winter romance. Flowers and chocolates are extras that can also be added to your getaway.
