ABOUT THE INNKEEPERS

Mike Venturini, Lori Venturini, Chris Venturini, Suzette Venturini, and Ozzie the Scottish Terrier

Mike & Lori

Your hosts, Mike and Lori Venturini, are formerly of Appleton, Wisconsin. Had it not been for a vacation to Italy, our lives would very different right now. It was while searching online for B&B accommodations in Rome that we found a link to “Inns for Sale”. By chance, we followed the link. On a bigger whim, we looked outside of our home state. The rest fell into place rather quickly. We have been innkeepers and owners of Munro House Bed & Breakfast and Spa in Jonesville, Michigan, since July of 1999.

Mike is a former account manager for Keebler Cookie Company. He has appeared in multiple productions of the Hillsdale Community Theater at The Sauk and is involved in local government on the Planning Commission and Zoning Board. He is currently the caretaker, bookkeeper, webmaster, and morning chef

Lori is educated as a computer programmer. She held positions with Fort Howard Paper Company, Air Wisconsin Airlines, Outagamie County Government, and Time Warner Cable TV. She is also a licensed cosmetologist, hostess, horse trainer, party planner, chef, dog whisperer, seamstress, quilter, artist, and innkeeper.

Chris & Zette

Chris, is an accomplished Judo player and gamer. Chris moved to South Korea in 2010 to teach English as a Second Language. He married Zette in the Philippines in December of 2011. They gave us our first grandchild, Layne, in August 2012. They moved back to Michigan in 2013 and help to run the B&B. Chris has earned his master’s degree in education from Spring Arbor University.

Zette (Suzette), was born in the Philippines on the island of Mindanao. She speaks English as a third language, and has taught English as a second language. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Accounting, an LPN nursing degree, and is continuing her education to earn an RN nursing degree.

Layne was born in 2012 on Jeju Island, South Korea. He is being home-schooled by his parents.

Ozzie
Our resident Scottish Terrier is a unique part of Munro House Bed & Breakfast and Spa in Jonesville, Michigan. He has a friendly disposition and is known to be uncommonly quiet in the house where there is no barking allowed. This unbelievably well-behaved dog is not allowed into any of our guest rooms. He likes to meet guests, but he is not a pest for attention.

Ozzie was born in February of 2008 and adopted in July of 2009. Ozzie is a solid black color. He acts as co-host and is the most lovable dog we’ve ever had.
