Aerial View of Ithaca Michigan Wind Farm

The wind farm located on the plains of Mid Michigan near Ithaca is pretty awesome looking from the ground. It is an equally spectacular sight from the air. Each of over 100 of the wind turbines along highway 127 is taller than a football field is long. From the sky, the white colored creations can easily be seen against the backdrop of the green and brown tones of the Earth. Their appearance runs along the fine line between eyesore and art. They are both ugly and majestic. At the same time, they are ugly and clean, noisy and silent. Take a trip to Mid Michigan and decide for yourself. The wind turbines are an alternate energy source for the future of Michigan and America. Local municipalities will have to decide to invest in this energy source, or not. An informed decision is absolutely necessary.
