Groups of 6-14 people are welcome to schedule their gathering in the privacy of our historic mansion on any available dates. We have had groups who came here for their anniversary commemoration, wedding ceremony, birthday celebration, Christmas gift exchange, business get-together, milestone recognition, bachelorette party, or just to have fun. We have 7 master bedrooms that will sleep up to 14 people. Schedule your event on weekdays or weekends in the comfort of our great old house. We have a huge parlor with seating for all and a big table with seating for 12 or more. We make breakfast each morning and supply soft drinks and cookies all day long. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and adult beverages.
These are examples of some of the small group gatherings we have hosted:
- Spa weekend. We are licensed to perform manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages. The ladies like to spend the day in their PJs & robes while being treated to their selection of services.
- Gift Exchange. Whether it’s Christmas, a birthday, or graduation, we have a lot of common areas where guests can gather to honor a special person(s), and their accomplishments.
Scavenger hunt. Pairs of people were given a list of things to purchase in nearby Allen, the Antique Capital of Michigan. The pair that found the most items and spent the least amount of money were declared Frugal Finders of the day.- Card games/dice games. An all-day private tournament can be held while playing Euchre, Texas Hold’em, Bunko, or other favorite games. The winningest person or pair gets bragging rights or a cool prize.
- Time with family and friends. Guests slept in their private rooms and gathered in our common areas to enjoy each others’ company while their cars, trucks, or motorcycles were safely parked in our lot.
The Munro House has a perfection situation and location for small group gatherings. An abundance of common area allows small groups of people to get together in a private homelike setting. Great restaurants are nearby for fine dining, comfort food, sandwiches, and pizza. Some have private dining rooms that can accommodate a small group. All of these places are within walking distance. Take-out is available to bring back to the Munro House for consumption in the privacy of our great old house.
